Several neighborhoods in Stafford have their own community pools with swim teams. Check with your community center to see if you have one. If you are interested in joining a team, swimming for fun or taking lessons, these Stafford County locations provide services:

Woodlands Pool is a year-round swimming pool with an inflatable dome. Open swimming offered noon–6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lap swimming offered 6 a.m.–noon and 6–8 p.m. Monday–Friday. 2 Northampton Blvd; Phone: 540/659-7582. There is an admission fee to enter.

Woodland Wahoos Swim Team is about much more than swimming. It’s about creating an environment for swimmers and families to have recreational FUN. Along with that comes a commitment to the team and each other. It’s volunteering that makes the team function as well as it does…that’s volunteering for various positions to participate in the swim meets and making contributions. They have a good coaching staff which they feel will make the swim season enjoyable.

Stafford Aquatics Team (STAT) is a year-round, competitive swim team for swimmers ages 7-18 years old and all abilities. STAT’s goals are to give swimmers the best coaching available, increase their skills and confidence (both in and out of the pool), create lasting friendships, have fun, and most of all give them a life-long interest in swimming and leading a healthy, active lifestyle. Morning and afternoon - evening programs are available and run from early September thru late July.

Sharks Swim Team is a year round team based on USMC Quantico that is open to both military AND non-military families.

Curtis Memorial Park facility boasts an Olympic size swimming pool with diving area, a zero-depth entry wading pool with water umbrella, and concession stand. Open from Memorial Day-Labor Day.

Swim Kids is a professional swim school located at Central Park Sport & Health in Fredericksburg. They teach all ages and ability levels of swimmers starting with their SwimBabies program at age 6 months, their preschool aged SwimTots program, SwimKids program for ages 5-teenage, Swim Team for more advanced swimmers, and their Special Needs swim lessons program. They also work with adults on their swim skills, usually one on one.
